He quickly established himself as a prolific goal scorer, displaying remarkable technical skills, agility, and a keen eye for goal.

Benzema played a vital role in Lyon’s domestic success, helping them win four consecutive Ligue 1 titles from 2005 to 2008.

His performances attracted the attention of top European clubs, and in July 2009, he signed for Real Madrid, one of the most prestigious clubs in the world.

Benzema’s time at Real Madrid has been incredibly successful.

He formed a deadly partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo and later Gareth Bale, leading the club to numerous domestic and international triumphs.

After 14 years, the French player has announced to leave the club as his contract end this summer.

The star is expected to accept a staggering deal with £345 million over two years.

His exact destination is yet to be confirmed, with newly crowned league champions Al-Ittihad thought to be the favorites to sign him.

His last game will be on Sunday at Bernabeu and announce his exit officially on Tuesday.

This comes as Real Madrid has announced the exit of renowned players in the club recently including Marco Asensio and Eden Hazard.

Long-serving midfielders Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are also out of contract this summer.

Confirming his exit, the club wrote “Karim Benzema’s career at Real Madrid has been an example of behavior and professionalism, and has represented the values of our club. Karim Benzema has earned the right to decide his future.

“Real Madrid is and will always be his home, and he wishes him and all his family the best in this new phase of his life.”
