More than 4,248 people have been killed in separate road accidents so far since January this year.
Data from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) indicates the fatalities were recorded between January and November 30, 2022.
Some 8,756 people were seriously injured and 6,281 victims were slightly injured.
NTSA says road accidents cause losses of more than Sh310 billion annually in the country.
The economic impact caused by road carnage is heavy and has been on the increase every year.
Kenyan drivers are asked to exercise responsibility and be part of efforts to reduce accidents that rob many families of their breadwinners.
In terms of types of vehicles, motorcycles are in the lead where 1,075 were involved in accidents and commercial vehicles recorded 1,010 crashes.
More than 997 privately owned vehicles were involved in accidents, Public Service Vehicles – 565, Unknown -506 while government cars were 41.
Some 26 tricycles got into road crashes, 10 pedal cycles, four handcarts and three ambulances as per NTSA data.
