Nairobi Firm Auctions 28 Used Cars From KSh 255,000, Offers Close December 23


A Nairobi-based firm has put 28 second-hand vehicles up for sale through a private treaty, with reserve prices starting from as low as KSh 255,000 and offers due by midday on Tuesday, December 23, 2025.

Onyango & Tarus said interested buyers must submit their bids by 12:00 noon on the closing date. The firm emphasised that all vehicles are being sold on an “as is, where is” basis, meaning prospective buyers are expected to inspect the cars thoroughly before committing to any purchase.

The fleet on offer spans a broad range of models and categories, including passenger cars, SUVs, trucks and commercial vehicles. Brands listed include Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Subaru, Isuzu and Tata, among others.

According to the auction notice, the vehicles are spread across multiple viewing yards in Nairobi and other towns, including Eldoret, Kakamega, Malindi, Migori, Kisii and Mombasa. Onyango & Tarus stated that it is inviting offers from interested parties for the listed motor vehicles through a private treaty arrangement.

Reserve prices vary widely depending on the make, model and year of manufacture. At the lower end, buyers can bid for older Nissan Wingroad and Note models from KSh 255,000, while higher-value listings include late-model Mercedes-Benz, Toyota Land Cruiser and heavy commercial trucks priced above KSh 2 million.

The firm reiterated that responsibility for assessing the mechanical and structural condition of each vehicle rests entirely with the buyer, as no warranties or guarantees will be provided.
