Ruto Advocates For Establishment Of Leadership School At University Of Nairobi

President William Ruto has voiced support for the creation of a School of Leadership at the University of Nairobi.

Ruto emphasized the importance of this initiative during discussions with Ban Ki-Moon, chair of the Global Centre on Adoption (GCA), in Seoul, South Korea.

“In line with this vision, I urge the Global Centre on Adoption, led by Ban Ki-Moon, to assist in advancing this proposal,” stated Ruto.

The proposed school aims to hone specialized skills in climate action, finance, and renewable energy.

Ruto highlighted the critical role of Africa in climate action and financing, emphasizing the need to bolster expertise in these areas to sustain the continent’s momentum.

Ban Ki-Moon, who also presides over the Global Green Growth Institute, aligns with Ruto’s vision for enhancing leadership and expertise in sustainable development.

President Ruto, currently attending the South Korea-Africa summit in Seoul, joins a cadre of African leaders at the forefront of international cooperation.

This summit, hosted by South Korea, underscores the growing partnership between developed nations and the African continent.

Notably, this marks President Ruto’s second participation in a similar summit this year, following his involvement in the Italy-Africa summit held in January.
