Tragedy As Man Is Killed Using A Power Saw In Love Triangle In Myanga Village, Bungoma County


A man was found dead at home following an attack by use of a power saw in a love triangle incident in Myanga village, Bungoma County.

The deceased identified as Edward Mwela was found dead in a pool of blood in a woman’s house on Sunday October 12, 2025.

The body had a deep cut in the neck which had been inflicted by a power saw.

Police and locals said Mwela had visited the home of a single mother in the area when he was attacked by another man who was believed to have been hiding in the house.

The assailant escaped the scene after the attack.

The power saw which had blood stains was found abandoned about 100 meters away from where the body lay, police said.

The woman, in whose house the incident happened was arrested as part of the probe into the murder, police said.

The body was moved to the mortuary pending an autopsy and other investigations.

Police said the hunt on the said assailant in the saga is ongoing.

The team handling the saga appealed to the suspect to surrender for processing.

Such murder incidents linked to love triangles have been on the rise in villages.

Elsewhere in Kamukuywa, Bungoma County, a decomposed body of a 61-year-old man was found in a home after murder.

Locals said they were disturbed by the smell and flies that prompted them to check on the home.
