Two individuals were Wednesday arraigned before Milimani law courts for offenses related to dealing with contraband milk powder.
Dahir Ahmed Hassan and Abdifitah Ahmed Dahir were arrested by DCI Headquarters Operations detectives who while acting on actionable intelligence managed to recover 408 bags of the contraband goods each weighing 25 kilos.
The two were arraigned for having uncustomed goods, Importing dairy produce without a valid license issued by the Kenya Dairy Board, and failing to pay the Import Levy to the Kenya Dairy Board.

DCI Mohamed Amin said they remain on a sharp lookout for other individuals who may be dealing with such
products to arrest and prosecute them before the court.
Police have in the past days been conducting operations targeting dealers in the milk.
