The man is nursing injuries after he was attacked by an irate mob for brutally killing a 22-year-old lady over an alleged romantic entanglement.
The deceased is said to have rejected the man’s advances, after which the latter stabbed her to death.
Both worked at Chicken Inn in Kitengela.
Kajiando County Police Commander Muthuri Mwongera confirmed the Friday night incident saying the suspect who is a colleague of the deceased at the restaurant left work early and later came back and waited for the lady outside before committing the act.
She died in the restaurant after being stabbed many times.
A mob attacked the man beating her before police arrived to rescue him.
Mwongera said the suspect is recuperating in a Kitangela hospital under police watch awaiting his arraignment with murder.
The body of the deceased was taken to Shalom Hospital Mortuary as investigations into the case are ongoing.
